Roy & Avis Rideout

AGAPE Ministries

WHO ARE THEY?

Roy Rideout from Cottlesville, NL and his wife is Avis, originally from Triton, NL.

WHEN WERE THEY CALLED?

We both felt the call of God to ministry from the time we were little. We met while I was attending Memorial University in St. Johns, Newfoundland and later decided to attend Eastern Pentecostal Bible College before going to Thailand as volunteers in 1978.

WHERE DO THEY SERVE?

Roy & Avis have devoted 30+ years of their lives to serving the precious people of Thailand- much of it serving the women and children who are victims of AIDS via. a ministry call AGAPE. They operate a Orphanage which houses approx. 100 children as well as homes which provide care for older children and teens. In addition to this they operate a school where the children are provided a quality education. Their feeding, education and health care programs cost hundreds of thousands of dollars annually.

HOW CAN YOU HELP?

There are three main ways that you can help any of our supported missionaries:

1. Prayer Support

Being on the missions field anywhere in the world can, at times, be very daunting and difficult. To support these missionaries please remember them in your everyday prayers

2. Personal Letters

No matter where these missionaries find themselves, receiving a word of encouragement or a message letting them know they are remembered and thought of can go a very long way! If you’re wanting to send a letter or a message to any of our supported missionaries please send us an email!

3. Financial Support

Contribute to our ministry through Family Christian Centre's online giving!
