Who are they?

Embarking on their mission in 2010, Gary and Kathy Heinrichs are dedicated PAOC Global Workers in Talamanca, Costa Rica. Their mission extends beyond borders, primarily engaging with the Bribri and Cabecar tribes and collaborating with local Costa Rican evangelical pastors. Having spent 3 1/2 years in Mexico and a transformative year at a language school in Costa Rica from August 2010 to August 2011, the Heinrichs returned to Costa Rica where they wholeheartedly embraced their calling.

At the heart of their ministry is Talamanca, focusing on Discipleship, the Bible Institute, Leadership Training, and Special Projects like Church Planting. Their vision goes beyond theological education; it encompasses the social, economic, and spiritual transformation of communities.

In a country where many pastors lack access to biblical education or struggle to afford the necessary training, the Heinrichs felt a distinct call to Talamanca. They specifically engage with the Bribri and Cabecar Indigenous groups, where 25% identify as evangelical Christians, alongside supporting local pastors in Valle de la Estrella, Limon.

Recent accomplishments include the graduation of the first five Talamanca students. These graduates, equipped with a renewed sense of confidence, express their readiness to share the Word of God, already witnessing transformations in their congregations.
